SEPTA Silverliner II #213, an 1963-vintage Budd EMU built for the Pennsylvania RR, is the trailing car on an westbound R6 local just departing the Norristown, Pa. Transportation Center.

In the background, two ABB Traction N-5 cars on the Route 100 line, the former P&W high-speed interurban, are awaiting passengers for the run to 69th St. terminal in Upper Darby.

To the right of the regional rail tracks, a SEPTA bus is loading at one of the bus bays constructed on the site of the former PRR Norristown passenger station.

The MU train will terminate a few blocks to the west at Elm St. and lay over for its return trip to Center City. This is the former Reading Company main passenger route between Philadelphia, Norristown and Reading.
